OK Dr. Foster shipment finally arrived today. I was able tp finally put water in the tank...YEH!!!!
Got confirmation from Sweet Aquatics plants have shipped... YEH too!!!!
Used prime to condition water.
Substrate is awsome looking.

So I'm gonna let things run til the plants show (hopefully Friday)...

Tiny bubbles everywhere, do they go away?

Here's some pics...

Yeah, the bubbles are just CO2 from your tap water. They will go away and will go away faster once you get those real plants in there. My new 90g was covered in them. 1 day later not many left and 2 days later gone and the plants were fat and happy :)

thanks pep good to know about the bubbles... my plants shipped today so they should be here in a few days

Congrats. I have an observation though. Does that baseboard heater work? I would be cautious that it doesn't over heat the tank water.

KSASTER2 02-24-2010 09:02 PM

yeh it does... we keep the house at 66 so I on't think it will be an issue. With everything I bought, I forgot to get a thermometer lol. Will pick one up tomorrow. I have the heater set at 78. Is that where it should be?

Mean Harri 02-24-2010 09:08 PM

Good temp at 78

Ok tanks been up and running for 3 days... nothing in it waiting for plants to arrive hopefully latter today. However on my filter intake tube brown stuff is growing... Is this ok?

HERE'S A PIC....

78F will dep what fish you wanna add there later; so just cross check that before you stock :-)

The Intake looks to me like collecting particles that came out of the gravel not like algae; just run your finger past it see if its coming off easily.

THANKS Angel... was wondering I'm going to be stocking a community tank, when my plants arrive if i go pickup like 6 neons will that be enough fish to start the cycle? I'm going to add the fish after i get the plants in the tank
