I AM TRING TO MAKE GREEN WATER. I AM PLANING ON TRING TO RAISE MY FISH FRY CLOWN. ANYWAYS I DID SOME RESEARCH AND IT SAID TO TAKE A GLASS BOTTLE AND FILL IT WITH THE TANK WATER AND PUT IT IN THE SUN FOR 4 DAYS. IT HAS BEEN 5 AND THE WATER IS STILL CLEAR. DOES ANYBODY KNOW HOW TO MAKE GREEN WATER TO FEED MY FISH FRY?
im not sure but try raising the phosphates and nitrate levels to promote algae growth, im not sure if it will work though
I'd continue using tank water but add some extra food to it. Also might want to try adding a touch of Seachem reef plus amino acids. I swear I add it to my tank and I have to wipe the algae from my glass the next day. It will enrich the green water with added vitamins and nutrients beneficial to small fry. How cold does it get at night? I'm wondering if your water is not producing due to the cooler weather of winter/spring months.
well I added a cap full of DTs this morning maybe that will help?
As far as temp at night it has been warm the last couple of days about 50 deg.
I'm thinking more around 80F constant. Those little cells might be to cool to reproduce.
so what do I do? put it in the house in front of a window?
put it near a window that has lots of direct sunlight
