Algae Wafers and Cories I picked up some algae wafers yesterday to feed my 4 Corydoras yesterday and I was just curious as to how much/how often you feed the wafers to them? Any tips on making sure they get some? I tried hiding some in caves etc so they have a good shot at it. I have 3 sailfin mollies as well and they went nuts for them and I want to make sure they don't end up bullying the cories for all the food. Thanks! |
How big are the one's you got? Mine are these 3/4" discs and I just cut them lil pieces and the group gets 1 broken up about each night (sometimes pellets sometimes frozen foods etc). What I do I add the barbs food on the right side of the tank so they're occupied eating over there first and then I toss the cory food in the cory dinner corner on the left of the tank. Works well here. |
Cool, I'd say the ones I have are about 1/2" so I'll break it up a little more this time and hide it a little better :) |
Cories like a decent amount of protein in their diets, so I would only feed them the algae wafers a few times a week. Flake, sinking pellets and shrimp pellets are a good staple for them (plus frozen foods of course). |
