So I was looking into my Betta tank and I though I saw a scratch. I looked at it for a minute and IT MOVED!!! It was inching along!!! Like a really thin inch worm but white!!! Is it bad? What is it?

Yes, it is bad if it was on the betta. If it was in the gravel or elsewhere it might be a type of freshwater worm that doesn't harm the fish, but is not a good sign since it means you are over feeding. It's probably a parasite of some sort if it is on the fish, but thats all I know.

it was on the glass(plastic) very teeny but about an inch long

No it is really skinny like a thin scratch on the side of a tank...can't see any features on it. Its white too

also it was right next to a new thing of snail eggs...about four snails in the eggs I could see

Did it look something like this? http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m...6/b0de53e2.jpg
If so, it could be planaria. As far as I'm aware they don't do any harm to fish, and are usually present where overfeeding is present. If that's what it is, cut back on the amount you're feeding and ensure there isn't any left over food at the bottom of the tank.

Kate, why did your pic of planaria look so different from mine? Mine was tagged as planaria in the article I took it from, maybe mislabeled??

I think to the naked eye it has a more thread like appearance, somebody correct me if I'm wrong though :)
