fantail being chased - he has lost scales
i have a fantail gldfish which seems to be the centre off attention in my tank atm.... its has lost some scales because it got caught behind an ornament and now the others (1 common gldfish and the other fantail) chase it round the tank. they are all ruffly the same size the common gldfish is a little bit bigger but is it just because its injured or are they mating i dnt know! so please could smeone help me! thanks ben.
Sounds like you have 2 males and one female.
The common needs to be removed ASAP. They are by no stretch of the imagination suitable tankmates for fancies because of their powerful swimming. Commons have been known to kill fancies in an attempt to mate with them, and they will also go for fancies' protuding eyeballs, sometimes eating them out of the fancy's skull.
