Corydoras metae (Bandit cory)
I have a 38 gallon tank (36 x 20 x 12), currently still cycling. My pH will probably end up being 8.0, as my other cycled tank finished off that way and has remained the same. I keep it at 75 degrees and the only other tankmates for the time being would be platies. Would Bandit corys be a good fit? My lfs doesn't have the best selection in the world and I've researched the other species they have but they all seem to like soft water with a much lower pH. I should mention that I got my platies, both tanks, from the same store and they have had no problems whatsoever with my water. If not the Bandit's, any suggestions?

I would look into what is causing your pH to end up at 8.0. What is the pH of your tapwater?

My tapwater pH is 8 as well. I have plastic plants and java moss and gravel substrate. My platies are fine, but I don't want to risk other fish just to make myself happy.
