Skimmer ????????

Thanks for taking the time okay I am fairly new to saltwater. I started a 55 gallon tank about 2 months ago and seems to be doing fine have not had any major issues. Well I recently got a 75 gallon and I am going to transfer everything from my 55 to it, and then turn my 55 into a sump/fuge. My question is can anyone suggest some protein skimmers that will run it and not send me into foreclosure. The tank will be set up as a reef tank with 8 to 12 small fish and as many corals as I can fit. Thanks for any responses

Absolutely.

Skimmer suggestions for a 75 gallon reef with sump. All of these below are effective and very affordable. I have used each of these personally, or seen them in action multiple times on tanks of friends.

Red Sea Berlin X2 Venturi Skimmer with Pump
Marineland Pro In Sump Protein Skimmer 300 Marineland Pro Skimmer
Aqua C Urchin Pro Skimmer with Mag 3 Pump

This is a new model on the market, and the reputation of the Octopus line is great. This might be my personal choice for a 75 gallon with sump:
Octopus Recirculating Skimmer - Small - 4 in. | Venturi Models | Protein Skimmers | Aquarium - ThatPetPlace.com

This one is a bit more expensive, but a great skimmer and could upgrade you to a 125 gallon tank in the future:
In-Sump Protein Skimmer - G-1X - 150 Gallon - 22 1/2 in. high | Venturi Models | Protein Skimmers | Aquarium - ThatPetPlace.com
