Cameras? Was just curious if you guys could recommend something... Our new years is coming up in about a month or so, and we exchange presents. It's a bit like Christmas for us in that sense. I was thinking about asking my parents for a digital camera, and I was wondering if any of you could recommend one? I can't make heads or tails or these sorts of things... It doesn't need to be a very complex one, since I'm not really an aspiring photographer or anything. Just one that takes decent pictures, and has a modest price. Thanks! :-) |
I have 2 different model Kodak digital cameras and both take exceptional pictures. The megapixel, be it 3, 6, 10, whatever, makes most difference when blowing pictures up. I don't have the limits off hand but even at 3 megapixels a person can get a pretty big photo made with no pixilating.(sp?) |
sony makes quality point and shoots, so does canon. more megapixels isnt necesserily better, especially with point and shoots which have tiny sensors. kinda like squeezing a lot of fish in a small fish tank (i had to make a comparison lol). shoot for 12 mp and you should be ok... i recommend sony for their ease of use, lifespan and carl zeiss lens. i recommend canon, well just because. oh yea, unless you're some sort of pro you will not be able to tell the difference in most cases. |
I have a Kodak camera also and it's just a 'point and shoot' but it takes great pictures of my fish. It takes better pictures of my fish than my Nikon D40.lol |
I have a canon power shot SX 10 IS but it was kind of expensive, it is a step down from having attachable lenses, but it's great for hobby photos, really fun to use! |
I have a Casio Exilim It's not the BEST camera, but it works! http://www.google.com/products/catal...663&sa=image#p |
Thanks for the input everyone! appreciate it. I checked the cameras and they weren't too expensive. We'll see how it goes. :) |
