What do they look like? I didnt know they sold covers.

ive seen covers in my pet city. its like black plastic casing with holes in it so that the heat will still b distributed throughout the tank, they r quite inexpensive.

Plecos can be burnt by any heater if they decide to sleep on it or behind it. I have never had a problem with burns on my plecos but I have lots of caves and live plants so they don't try to hide behind the heater.

I agree. I've never had any problems with any of my fish or my pleco for that matter being burned by my heater. Provide enough places for them to hid, and you should be fine.
