To dose or not to dose? (Ich)
 call me ich-mommy....
Anyway from the new Rummy's 2 have each ich spots on the fins (one has 3 spots the other one 4).
Temp is already on the rise as I type this in the tank and because its Sat I just did a 50% w/c anyway (with my new python hook up yeaaaaa baby )
So anyway since no one else is affected:
1) Dose with meds?
2) Don't dose and only keep clean warm water?
3) Wait & see tomorrow?
And no I won't net just the 2 out for one its impossible with all these plants and 2) pointless since the ich is present in the whole tank.
You might have read this already but here's a really informative link:
Using Heat to Treat Ich in Freshwater Tropical Fish - Article at The Age of Aquariums - Tropical Fish
No new info, but a good recap. Basically temperature and clean water will slow or inhibit an all out outbreak of ich. The higher the better, at one phase will stop the life cycle, at another, reproduction, and at another will kill them completely. I guess it depends on how high a temp your fish will tolerate.
And just to make sure you saw Byron's post about when he left it alone and just treated with partial water changes and left it up to the fish's immune system and a healthy environment:
Thanks for the feedback guys; Gotta run out with the puppies now; but will read all links when I get back (with a NICE cup coffee yeaaa) :-)
