OK, so I want to do a bit of 'underwater landscaping' and build up a little higher area of gravel near the back of my corner tank. I found some medium size aquarium pebbles at the LFS, and want to glue them together to make a 2-3" high 'retaining wall' to hold back the gravel a bit.
Can I use somethinglike this DAP Silicone Adhesive to hold the stones together?
DAP Products - Construction Adhesives - DAP® Household/Aquarium Adhesive Sealant
It says safe for fish...?
Yes that will work. Just about any 100% silicone product would do. Just make sure to let the silicone dry for at least 3 days before it comes into contact with the water.
As long as it is aquarium safe you can use it. You can also get aquarium silicone at Homedepot to glue the rocks together. Read the direction carefully as it takes awhile to cure and set.
Thanks. Sounds like it won't be too hard to find something at the hardware store. I'll be sure to check the labels closely.
