New Oscar
 

I just added a young Albino tiger Oscar to my 65 Gallon tank. He has 3 other tank mates, 2 are young Bicher's. I was a little concerned at first that the Bicher's might nip at him but so far no problems.

He does have some odd behavior though. At the Pet store he was swimming freely and seemed to be oblivious to people staring at him. Since I've added him to my tank anytime he sees me he swims for cover, then kind of lies on his side and doesn't move. Very odd. I'm hoping he gets over this behavior. And my fingers are still crossed the Bichers don't decide to turn him into a meal.

I've had odd behavior from all my new fish, usually takes them a few days to acclimate to their new environment. I wouldn't worry too much yet.

both my oscars do that same thing when someone they dont know approaches the tank....

if you stay in front of the tank for a while he will get used to you and you wont have that problem
