Good luck with those sun corals kells. I was given a cluster by a friend of mine because he couldn't keep them alive. I had no luck with them either. I tried spot feeding, but I think they were too far gone to save. I would feed the tank to get the polyps to show, and then spot feed the polyps. they lasted about three months before the polyps stopped coming out at feeding time...
I am fired up about following another 2.5 build! I was upset when I saw you dismantled this beaut the first time...
| Thanks. I'm hoping that i can keep them going for ever and spreading. This is a coral i have done much research on and have wanted since the beginning of my journey into corals. I didn't want to get them because they could be difficult to tend to. I"ll see how I'll fair though. I was sad to take the 2.5 down, but i just wasn't dedicating enough time to it.
Today is Day 3 and I fed Papone (a mix of shrimp, brine shrimp, krill, silversides, oysters and something else i forgot because it was almost 1year ago when i made it) and they seemed to respond to it, but i switched to "CoralFrenzie" to see how they are doing. This is a dry food and i need to use it up soon, but i may switch back to the Papone because they seem to respond to it so much more then the "CoralFrenzie".
I'll keep y'all updated and thanks for checking in. On Wed, i'll try to get some shots of the entire tank and from a couple of different angles just to see how well they are doing and to get a photo journal of them. |
