Help with Catfish Hey guys. I was just wondering what type of catfish would go well with my tiger barbs and could clean off some algae. Thanks. |
Cat's don't generally eat algae; I suggest you remove the cause of your alage rather then getting some fish 'against algae growth' :-) Cory's for example need to be in groups of 8+ and either live on sand (ideal) or fine and non sharp edged gravel) and the appropriate tank size for a group of them. |
Oh alright. Thanks. |
How big is the tank? How long has it been set up? What're your water parameters (temperature, pH, hardness, etc.)? |
If the aquarium has (cycled) and ammonia, nitrites ,,read zero each day ,all day, I might look at Ruby barbs not Rosy barbs. They would happily consume alage to a degree, and also appreciate mulm found on substrate in mature tanks. Mulm should not be confused with fish waste. Kept a group of these with tiger barbs and they appeared to get along . |
