need advice on transporting fish

I'm in search of some Pygmy cories and Chain loaches. I've been calling around and it looks like I can probably get them special ordered. When I go to pick them up it will be about a 1 1/2-2 hours drive home. I figure I will take a cooler and have them double bagged but is there anything else I should do? If I do it this time of year what could I do for heat?

I looked into online and I just can't afford it..If I make the drive all I have to do is pay a reasonable price and provide lunch for whoever I bribe to go with me!

I'd suggest placing newspaper between the bags. Chain loaches have spines and will puncture the bag but with the newspaper between the bags, the spines shouldn't go through the second bag.

As for heating, will heat packs do?:)
