Is My gold fish Ill ?

Hi Iv had my fan tails for about 3 months now I keep them in a 35 gallon tank. I have noticed one getting fat the past 5 days I was just wondering whats up with it Its acting fine and swimming happily around and feeding fine. In one way I'm worried for it but Then I look at it and it seems fine acept for being allot fatter. Any advice ?

Sounds like constipation to me. Green peas will work on this. Monitor the fish carefully. Is there a pineconing effect on the scales? Bulging of eyes? If you suspect dropsy, kindly post your water parameters.:)

No his scales are fin look normal and he is swimming around as happy as ever + He's eating fine.

Try green peas then to remedy constipation.:)

Yes, just normal green peas. I use frozen peas, put in a little boiling water just to defrost then peel the shell off, split in two and chuck it in. :)

Ok thanks for that I think My mum thoght I was abit odd when I just phoned her and told her to pick up some green peas for my fish Lol :)

you can feed your fish many human things, cucumbers, zuhkini, lots of vegetables, shrimp coctail without the sauce, ive even heard of some people feeding there piranha organic beef and chicken!
