bristlenose white blotches

sorry, but im gonna keep asking questions :-?

My bristlenose randomly appears with white / greyish blotches that then vanish 10 minutes later? I'd presume this would be a stress related thing but it happens so spordically that stress doesn't add up, it also disappears that quickly that again stress doesn't seem to link in.

i used to have that happen with my BN as well. does it look like dry skin sort of? I would get my camera to take a picture and by then it would be gone.

he still gets lighter in certain areas nowadays, but i attribute it to something very natural and benign because it is symmetrical on both sides of his body. and he is a happy little bugger (skittish, yes, but well fed and comfy in his environment). some fish change color during feeding so I wonder if some environmental changes or simply feeding makes his color become more drab.
