Is this a good light for my cichlid tank?

Hey all. I have been searching for Aquarium lighting for my new malawi tank (tank measures 36" L x 17 W x 17 H)...I came across this light on ebay and was wondering if anyone could let me know if it'd be a good fit. THX!

Like the fixture itself, but the 12000K bulb that is listed is terrible overkill, read description see if you can get it with the listed 6700K bulbs.

Are you planning on planting the tank? Malawi tanks can be quite difficult to plant due to the high pH and hardness, not to mention mbuna love munching on plants.

If you're going the unplanted route with just sand, big heaps of rock and fish, I personally like the higher temperature reef lighting as it really brings out the color of the fish. If you do want to try to plant it, get the freshwater fixture.

I'm not really intending on planting--from what i understand they pretty much uproot everything that you plant. Just rocks, malawi substrate, some pvc pipe tunnels, and a few fishies.
