2 male german rams?

is it ok to have two german ram males? Will they be aggressive if their are no females to court? I don't want to deal with potential fry from a mated pair so I was thinking 2 males...but if that is likely to cause problems than I will rethink it.

I have a 46 gallon bowfront, heavily planted with rummynose, pristella, serpae, and neon tetras.

So long as there are two distinct hiding places (caves built out of stacked rocks, for example) at opposite ends of the tank with the view between them obscured with plants and driftwood, you should be ok. The fish probably won't like one another but in a tank of your size you should be able to get away with having two so long as you set up these territories for them.
