Python temp control

I recently got a python ( hand made) and it's fabulous! So much love! Now the only problem is that the water I put back in is much colder than the tank water. I have a 20 gallon, 30 gallon, and a 45. Weekly changes. How can I control the temperature more? I can feel the cold water coming out in comparison to the tank water...

Your tap water is going to feel colder with your had running under it than it actually is because of your body temp. being that much higher.

Let the water run without the hose attached for a few minutes until you think it feels right. Then grab a clean 1/2 gallon jug and dangle one of those cheopo thermometers that have the suction cup at the top into it to see what your actual temp. is. You might have to do it a few times before you get it right. When you're within a few degrees of the tank water temp, keep the faucet handle in that position and hook up the python.

What about if one of the pythons is to a faucet and it has the 2 handle system, and the other one is to a hose?

I use a food thermometer. They don't cost much and give instant digital readings to one tenth of a degree.

Ok, so I got the sink to 80 degrees which is better than what I was putting in there :) it's just a messy process to hook it up while it's running.. But thanks!

Now if I can figure put how to control the hose water?

I feel your pain. I still haven't found an adapter that will fit my sink faucet. Still lugging a gallon at a time to refill the 75 gallon tank.

Good luck!
