Does anyone know where online to get the plastic tubes for the Hydro sponges? The one that it came with is not long enough. I remember obtaining longer tubes and cutting them to the length that I needed before. I don't like the power head way down under. It is ugly enough as it is to have a big sponge down there without the power head in plain view. I used to be able to get these things locally where I used to live, but not sure where to get them here. I don't think Petsmart or Petco carries them.
Thanks. Hopefully, I will get lucky this time when I go shopping. LOL So they clear ones? I need the clear kind.
I am so sorry to hear about your Pleco. I am having an ammonia spike in my daughter's tank, so I am sure I will be sleeping on it tonight. I am all stressed out. I am never going to cycle a tank again with fish! If I would have been just a little more patient and waited a little longer after it went down to zero. It never did spike real high until now.
I find clear piping and tubes (for like the air) and hoses HERE...but as we recently learned on the lights that don't mean nothing for what you may find at yours :-(
I hear ya, I cycle my tanks w/out fish and/ or seed them. I'd freak cycling a tank with fish I think.
Hydro Sponges use standard 1" lift tubes, same as most undergravel filters. Its a fairly good chance that Petsmart or another local fish store would have them as a replacement, if not, you could order them from Foster & Smith or PetSolutions.
Thanks, Ron. I ended up finding it at Petco. They were kind of in a very un-noticeable spot. I turned around and they they were!
