platty or wat?

i got a platty about 3 or 4 weeks ago. its about 2 inches or more and a light orange. but last week or so the tail of it at the bottom has been getting longer as in a swordtail and now its about a cm long. but when i got it it was just normal like a platty. any ideas people? :?

maybe its a male sword maturing? the female sword is pretty similar to the platy in body shape i guess..... can u get a pic?

It seems you got a cross between platy and swordtail, Xiphophorus variatus. If that fish is a bit aggressive, of course, it is indeed a cross. Swordtails get aggressive whereas platies usually don't.
