whats this fish?
what fish is this
not the emerald cory cat but the other one
It is a ram (Mikrogeophagus ramirezi), and a nice one at that. Is it yours? If so nice fish! :-)
nits not sorry but i am starting up a 70 gallon freshwater
If you are "starting" a tank, I would advise against getting a ram right off the bat. They are very sensitive to water parameters and require a very stable and soft water environment. They are not the easiest fish to care for. If I were in your shoes I would start with other hardier fish and add the ram after a good 6 months of having a stable environment, provided your water is adequate to keep them.
+1 on fishfreak & Hawkin's post there
yeah i am starting with some cory cats, oto's ,neon tetra and a dwarf gourami
