Anybody know what exactly is in water conditioners?
I've been using Jungle Start Right for removing chlorines and chloramines.
However I have noticed that there are no ingredients labeled on the bottle.
I found the MSDS on "Start Right" and it stated it was non-toxic but may emit Cl2 and NaO2 when exposed to high heat.
Just what exactly are these "conditioners" composed of?
LOL! Sorry. I don't even know. I would assume various binding agents. I don't use them so haven't really thought about that.
Stuff that neutralizes chlorine and all things toxic in your tap water. Nobody really knows, or cares, it's just that they work! The manufacturer would be a better person to ask. But water conditioners are almost never exposed to high temperatures, if you store yours in a cabinet and don't heat your aquarium water to 140 degrees F.
Read here, second product on the review about 1/4 down the page SuperFood Reviews Aquarium Water Conditioners
Cool. Thanks for the article as it does provide the major constituents in those water conditioners.
I just like to know what I'm paying for you know?.
