I got two for my biube!

You must have a billion dollar camera to take a close up so clearly. Pretty rocks and cute shrimp. I love my cherry shrimp, by the way.

It's a canon SD 1000, around $300 now
A lot of the newer "pocket" cameras today come with advance features you used to only see on more expensive cameras, like the macro setting

And how many shrimp do you have and how big are they?

I just got mine, I love watching them make their way across the bottom!

I have only two... what I almost said in my post but didn't was that yesterday I was pruning some of my aquarium plants on a towel near the tank. I saw the tiniest speck of red and thought "oh, no! a piece of my cherry shrimp!" I thought my loach ate one and left a little red piece of skin. Well, I touched it to pick it up and it clung by my fingernail. when I dipped my finger tip in the water, the little thing darted off across the tank. I think it was a baby shrimp! It was almost invisible it was so tiny! I think it came from the java fern, my shrimps' favorite hiding place. the adults are barely the length of my fingernail...not sure how long that is. a quarter inch? Quite small. Luckily they haven't been eaten by my loaches yet (others warned me they might). There's a gracefulness about watching them swim across the water, kicking with their little legs.

Aww.... Hope you have fun with your new shrimp! If your lucky you will have lots more after awhile.

Do you have them in small own tanks or with what fish are you housing them?

That's so cool! I hope the babies will be okay and survive the loach, I've read about the non compatibility of loaches with shrimp too, I want a loach but am not sure I want to risk it yet until I get more plants

Lol, what kind of shrimp do you have? If you have too many, I'd be willing to take a few off of your hands!

They're so cute, when i saw them on liveaquaria.com my friend and I went on a hunt to track some down. I lucked out with the two I have! The store didn't even know they had them!

I house them in a 9 gallon biube, there are 5 red danios, 5 neon tetras, and one duboisi cichlid who swims away from the shrimp
