R/O System & Water Changes
I'm considering a R/O system to use to filter the water for my tanks. I currently have a 55g and will be starting a 125g soon. The question I have is if I hook the R/O to my coldwater how can I do a water change without harming the fish. I do 25% weekly and my concern would be adding the cold water to my tank that is kept at 76.
2 options: Set up w/c buckets day prior with clod water & conditioner, let sit in a warm area to become room temp.
Or fix up your water the min you need it, get a 2nd 300W heater put into your buckets till you reached desired temp...
These here work nice and quick to warm up water fast Cascade Heaters, Heaters | Pet Solutions
Lol ok... ????
OK.. I am not up with all these abreviations....... so what does R/O
I have a python and I have done water changes with it successfully.
I adjust the water temp pryor to puttin in the tank. and ADD the PRIME
I am so inclined to make my changes differently.... I have come up with a
NEW SYSTEM... that I plan on sharing with everyone
POSSIBLY this weekend... this system will save me So much money
in the long run..... with Chemicals for water changes....
I will be doing a BUILD thread as I have done with my 180 gallon
SHOULD be another 5 star Thread Caint wait to get this thread started......
and talk with everyone about it......
R/O reversed osmosis....people who have real hard water use it to make their water softer to be able to house fish like sensitive Tetra's :-)
I appreciate the learning lesson.... LOL..
makes since now..
