fish itching???

I've noticed some of my fish rubbing themselves on the rocks and stuff is this normal?

This means they have parasites most likely.
Check for them on their skin.

High tds(total dissolved solids) will cause fish to "flash" against rocks/ gravel.

You should probably clarify because I have no idea what that means.:dunno:

Sorry that I was not more clear.
In very hard water with high ph and high oxygen levels fish will often dart against rocks as if itching themselves. I don't know why.

Wow, I've never heard that before..I have some pretty high levels of pH and hardness myself but I've never seen that. Interesting though.

I went and got a new heater since my tank temps were low and I got ick stuff and I read I need to do it for 14 days and clean the tank each day is this correct?
