Bronze Cory with Fin Damage
After my weekly water change, I was enjoying watching my fish eat. I noticed that one of my bronze cories looks like he has no pectoral fins. Upon closer examination, it appears that his fins have either been damaged or rotted away. He seems to be moving around fairly well, but I'm a little worried. If kept in a healthy environment, could his fins grow back or is this something the fish will have to live with for the rest of its life?
I went through a period where I didn't take very good care of my tank and the cories suffered most... Many of them had little to no barbels due to infection. Now that I've gotten my act together I noticed some are growing back. Could this be the same with the fins?
Thanks in advance for the help.
Hmm.. well, with time, the fins may be able to grow back. Provide clean new water for them a lot, and be sure to feed them a healthy, varied diet. Sometimes when fins get severely damaged badly though, it might be too late and they can't grow back completely or look deformed.. Any pics?
