What is this white coating? It's all over everything and it looks like it snowed in my tank with white specks everywhere. Very strange! you can see what it is supposed to look like in the other pic.

What type of gravel do you have? Might be pieces of broken up gravel.

Are there any little hands that have access to the tank?

No, just my hands. And it's just gravel but the white is not from the gravel though, pretty sure about that.

do you have snails? those look like the eggs my nerite snails leave all over the place.

Looks like some more substrate (gravel) has been added over top of what was there? Could be particles from that being possibly disturbed . Anything like ammolock or other chemical media or powder added to the filter? perhaps some of it is escaping into the tank. Just guessing.

Well, whatever it is, the guppys, swordtail, and angel fish are eating up. I think it's algae.
No snails. I did see one but I havn't seen it in a while, I'm hoping I sucked it up during a WC.
