Anybody have these Freshwater Limpets
It appears that I got some freshwater Limpets in one of my small tanks. At first I thought they were small snails. They are really tiny in size and are a transparent color and they are really stuck to the glass. With a magnifying glass I took a look at them. I found something on-line that looks like what I have Freshwater Limpets. They must have got into my tank from plants or something. Here is a picture of what they look like http://www.planetinverts.com/huppukotilo2.jpg Does any one have these in their tank. I was wondering if Assassin snails would eat them. I looked on-line and they are harmless but I'm just worried they might overpopulate my tank.
I doubt you need to worry about them over populating. They are neater than snails at least:-).
I know this thread is a bit old but to the original poster if you're still around what ever happened with these? I recently noticed some in my shrimp tank. What was your experience with them? Was it good or bad?
