I currently have a fully cycled 10 gallon aquarium. The pH is 7.4 and the temperature is 71 F.
It currently houses 6 White Cloud Mountain Minnows, but I wanted to add a little action at the bottom:-D I recently came across Amano Shrimp, and after a little research, fell in love! Before I go out and buy some, I wanted a few tips....
Can I keep Amanos with White Clouds?
How many can I put in a 10g? (I was thinking 3)
Do they need any special care?
What is their average lifespan?
Could I give them fresh veggies?
Do you have hiding places for them (dense plants, small crevasses in the rocks, ect) to get away from the white clouds if need be?
Thanks for the reply!!!
Yes, the tank has lots of artificial plants along with a cave, a nice rock that has a big hole in the center, and some rocks stacked up with some hidey holes in between:-D The gravel is Petco Black Lagoon Gravel:-D
Also, I wanted to add some to my 20 gallon too. Would they get along with harlequins, black skirt tetras, and a Molly? Thanks!
As long as they have adequate hiding places they should do just fine, but expect some to be eaten.
