Paradise fish care, advice
Just purchased a paradise fish for my newly cycled 10 gallon. As of right now, he is the only fish in the tank. The tank is moderately-to-heavily planted. I was wondering if anyone could give me any tips on general paradise fish care--and maybe even some possible tank mate suggestions:lol:. Thx!!
My guy was pretty awesome little fish, I really miss him. He did well with all the fish I had even the aggressive ones. Just make sure he has access to the surface as he is an air breather. Pretty cool with eating everything I gave him flakes and pellets.
mah collection eats like pigs!!!! I do 1 heavy feeding each day and they are always hungry.
though it doesn't help having a koralia 2 and 3 in the tank =P
Keep in mind that paradise fish are not a tropical species so they should be kept at lower temperatures than typical tropical fish. For most people, this means that simply keeping them at room temperature is fine. Because of this (not to mention their fairly aggressive personalities) paradise fish are hard to find tankmates for. In a 10g I think they're probably best as solo specimens.
