any advice
 
hey.

im 18 and bought myself a fishtank for my birthday. i bought a 50L tank and its been up and running for the past week. I ordered some cardinal tetras and platies and guppies - which i will get this coming thuesday.

any advice for me as a beginner starting from scratch about fish and stuff?

cancel the order right now!!!. The tank is not cycled, it will never fit that many fish so suddenly, only get 3 platies right now, 1 male 2 female, then wait until your done cycling, then add 6 cardinals, then wait a week, then add 3 guppies with the same ratio as the platies

Ditto.:brow: I prefer this order. Platies->Guppies->Cardinals
Why? Cardinals are rather sensitive to changes in water parameters during the early stages of the tank.
