Adding Fish to Molly Tank
 

Hi all, I have 4 mollies (two dalmation, one silver and one balloon) in my 30 gallon tank. I'm looking to add some new fish to the tank soon. I saw a lightning blue african cichlid at the lfs yesterday that I loved but I realize that he would be far to aggressive to go with my mollies unfortunatelly..

A few other fish that my girlfriend and I saw at the lfs that we'd be interested in adding include male fancy guppies, sunset fire platy's..I know there were one or two others but I cant remember what they were right now. What would you guys suggest adding?

I would go with platy's and I would try and get males. Females that are purchased are nearly always pregnant and this could lead to overstocked tank should population get out of control.

Either one would be nice. I also like the coloring of cardinal tetras. I have a shoal of 10 in my 55 g.

We have Ballon Mollies with fancy and other long finned Guppies and things worked out just swimmingly for us.

Thanks everyone. Yesterday I added 3 sunset fire platy's (1 male 2 female) and 3 fancy guppies (1 male 2 female). So far everyone has been getting along, swimming around and exploring. My male fancy guppy has been kind of on his own, but hopefully he'll become social pretty soon. Same story with my male sunset fire platy actually too, but so far so good
