Any ideas on what these fish are?
 

I bought some aqautic plants and put them in an empty tank. I only had two dwarf aquatic frogs in it for about a week. Now about three weeks after purchasing the plants I noticed I had some fry. At first I thought maybe they were tadpoles, but I did some research and now I highly doubt it. The fish are roughly 2 weeks old now.

Any ideas on what they could be?

That's weird, but it really looks like a tadpole to me. I've been around a lot of frogs and tadpoles my life...def looks like one.

I thought they would have stated to grow legs by now if they were tadpoles. I hope you're right though. :-D

I'm not sure on the metamorphosis length for dwarf african frogs...but some frogs don't fully metamorphosis for months

I am not sure what you have there, but it does not look like any fish fry that I have seen.
Good luck with it! It will be interesting to see what it grows into! Can you keep us posted with updated pictures?

What are the mating habits of your frogs? If they had laid obvious rafts of eggs you should have noticed that. If they have some weird habit of hiding eggs under rocks or someplace else you would not have seen them, that would be cool to know about.

I would be surprised if any egg-laying fish eggs had a hatching time of what? several weeks? I would guess thats too long for fish eggs.

I think it might be an african dwarf frog too. It seems to have spots on it just like african dwarf frogs. It's very interesting!

Here is an updated pic....roughly a month old now.....still no idea what they are.
