Is my other frog now dying/dead?
Literally an hour ago we was swimming around. Now he doesn't move. He floats either at the top or the bottom. I touch him with the net and he moves slightly, but very little. Once again I feel like sh!t because I can't keep water animals alive. I recently did a 50% water change and filter change. Could that had anything to do with it? Recently meaning like 6 hours ago. Any frog lovers seen this before?
Sounds to me that either it is sick or something if off the charts with your water there - Do you have a test kit? Do you have any large fish in the tank with them that will hurt them?
Just found out that the tap water here contains some chlorine. Now I really feel like crap knowing I was the reason they died!
Buy a water conditioner (eg Prime) that will remove chlorine & ammonia and metals from your tap water. Then use that mixed water for your weekly 30% water excahnges. That will indeed prevent the death of fish & frogs.
I wish I knew this before :(
We're here to help - Feel free to post questions about ideas of yours, let's discuss them first and go shopping afterward and let's try together to safe you the headaches :-)
