Christmas Tree Thread.

how many of you have your Trees up ?
i was watching a programme the other day,and they were doing an experiment
with Christmas trees,to see if they could stop the needles from droping
to early..........the Tree that lasted the longest was the one where they
had added a little amount of Bleach to the water in the bucket ! ! ! !
they reckon that it kills off bacteria...so the needles stayed on longer.
i going out this morning to have a look at getting a real tree, and if i do
i'm going to give this a try.i usually do one of two thing.......a fake tree or if
we do buy a real one,i have usually just put it into a holder.
but i was just wondering that if anyone would like to show their trees.......
i would love to see them.
:-D

For the first time in years I am not putting up a real tree bc my living room has been taken over with fish tanks :).
We did put up a little fake tree on the end table tho.

We did not put our tree up yet... BUT... Did you know this is actually a "New Years Tree" in Russia, and probably most of Europe. I'll come back here after its up with a pic!

We didn't put up a tree. Instead, we have a big fake poinsettia on a table in front of the living room window. We put presents under the table and on top of it.

I wish I could put up a tree but can't. My cats think it's something to climb and they derive great joy from batting off the ornaments, which then break on the tile. Then I have to worry that they will get shards stuck in their paws. Instead I string the entire house with Christmas lights.

This year,it's going to be a bit late...but,it will go up! I live here in Oregon, and it saddens me to see all the beautiful live trees going by on the trucks bound for who-knows-where...so,I splurged and bought a gorgeous fake-o tree, over 8 feet tall...and it's really great! (never thought that I'd EVER do that!) It'll be interesting what the fish think of the lites all blinkin' away! It'll be set up near the small bookcase tank...they're probably going to think that they're having a bad trip*hallucinating*!!!

my fake tree is up. the only reason we put up the tree this year is because we run a home-based preschool, and the kids expect it. they'll make all the decorations for it (i might put up a couple of "real" ornaments).

i'll prepare a bloodworm feast for xmas dinner for the fishies. and an extra large piece of zucchini for the pleco.

My tree is finally up! After sitting in it's stand for a week in the garage I was finally able to play musical furniture so I could put it in it's place. I had to move a video cabinet (to the garage) so the cedar chest with the 2 betta tanks could go in that spot and the tree could go in the spot where the bettas were.

Romad, your living room sounds like mine. I have 3 tanks (55G, 37G and 10G) plus the cedar chest with the 2 betta tanks in my living room!
