Feeding shrimp to tropical community I was looking to vary the diet for my fish (List in my siggy) and told my dad that I wanted to buy some brine shrimp as a canivorous suppliment to my fishes' flake food. He said it'd be way cheaper to feed them the shrimp we've got at home currently. We've got a big bag of cocktail shrimp in my freezer right now and we plan on trying a thawed piece tomorrow. The shrimp are the run of the mill ones for cocktail parties, and are therefore safe for humans to eat. Can my fish eat it too? |
Yeah those are safe for the fish. Just cut a little up so they can eat it. It is cheaper than buying bloodworms, brine shrimp, ect. Buy a bag at the grocery store, take 6-12 from the bag and store them with the rest of your fish food. I think I have a video on youtube of my fish eating jumbo/cocktail shrimp..... |
Your fish are small mouth fish so you need to chop it up pretty fine first. They will LOVE it ! |
I fed them a brine shrimp cube this afternoon and they LOVED it! They all look pregnant now. XD |
