Guppy torn pelvic fin
One of my male guppies has a torn-looking pelvic fin that is whitish around the edges. I've seen my guppies die from this before and I think it could possibly be contagious. First of all, what is this disease? Second, can it be cured if the guppy still acts healthy, swims normally, and is eating? Third, how much of a threat is this male to my other 20 plus guppies?

Please, I'm very afraid that my guppy may cause an outbreak. Any advice would be helpful and much appreciated.

You can isolate the said guppy if you fear it might be contagious.

We need pics to further verify the disease. Also you can compare the symptoms to the pictures here JBL - Online Hospital

Fins that are torn regenerate normally given good water parameters. Pay attention to your water parameters and see if there could be anything that aggravates the torn fins and gets them infected.
