my angel fish are pecking at each other
i have two angel fish who have just recently started to peck at each other. its starts with what looks like they are kissing, pushing each otherbackwards & forwards, then one will aim a peck towards the side of the other. i have kept angels before but this is the first time i have seen this behaviour. can any one an answer or reason for this

It's aggression. Angelfish and other fish develop a "pecking" order. They are fighting over dominance. You may never have seen it because young angelish tend to be quite agreeable but as they mature to breeding age they become agressive. How many angelfish do you have and how big is the aquarium? I think some aggression is normal. They are cichlids, after all. But if it is continuous harassment or is causing damage to the other fish, then you have a problem, and this problem may be due to not enough space for each angelfish to have his own "territory," not enough physical separation to define their territory (for example, no decorations to block eye contact). Before I recommend any course of action I think we should know how many angels you have and how big the aquarium is. And as a disclaimer I'm still learning a bit about angelfish myself.
