They are all very tame even my Tegu. We have made alot of progress he even fell asleep in my arms. He hasn't grown much but when he wakes up in spring he will hit his growth spurt and really put on size. He will need an 8ft by 4ft cage which I will build around next June. Im also hoping on getting the leopard geckos out of thier 20 gallon and into a 3ft cage. Wish me luck :-D!

An 8 x 4 enclosure for a Tegu? I had NO idea they grew that big.
What does he eat? Furry things?? Your leos are cutie patooties!

Great pictures! Your geckos are adorable!
Good luck with the cage building! I am sure they will enjoy their new big homes.

for a lizard that can eventually get 4-5ft in as little as a year or two he will need a big cage. When he was up he ate mice, ground turkey, salmon, tuna, eggs, superworms, and a small cichlid.

thanks for sharing your pictures.:-D
your leos are indeed cute and they look like mine lol, the Tegu is awsome.
i really like the leo set up you've made,do they dig much ?

rrcoolj 12-10-2009 11:29 PM

They do occasioanlly dig up the substrate but not nearly as much as the tegu. The tegu has about 4in of substrate and he would dig these huge pits.
