Plant Food??
 

I Just bought some API leaf zone plant food for my freshwater tank, and it doesnt tell me how often to use it. So how often should i use it to feed my plants?? Also should i expect a huge algea outbreak from using this, the guy at the store said no...but they say alot of things.

That's odd should tell you on the package....

Here's what I found for ya Aquarium Pharmaceuticals Leaf Zone 16oz (473 ml) it say's Dosage: 1 teaspoon per 10 Gallons, so I'd prop start with a lower does, see how that works for your plant and then IF necessary up it to 1 teasp/10g

i would recommend seachems comprehensive supplament for plants. one capful weekly. works great. im sure byron will chime in and say the same thing

I'm going to look into it. If you guys recommend it I'm defenetly going to check it out.

I use the same, only I use it twice a week. That and Seachem root tabs for the heavy root feeders in my tank. On the Seachem Flourish Comprehensive the instructions are one capful per 50 gl. What size is your tank?

They always recommend once week, but pers I'd do half the dose and 2x week.

Is there something wrong with your plants that you are using ferts?
