Will a Black Sailfin Molly breed with a regular black molly?

By I think so, I mean they really should. They're all still mollies. Just massively bred to enhance certain traits and minimize others. Or atleast thats's how i understand it.

yess most live bearers will cross breed and of similar species it is easier for them to cross...

A true sailfin molly is not the same species as one of the shortfinned varieties. Most of the fish we see in the hobby are hybrids between distinct species of molly but are usually composed of P velifera, P latipinna and P shenops (recently being renamed as P mexicana). The pet shop mollies are the hybrids of two or more of these species and often are more than wiling to mate with each other. Wild fish of those 3 species do not cross naturally, but artificial environments have been used to induce them to breed in captivity and now they are all mixed together and don't know any better. A real sailfin molly, almost unheard of in a pet shop, is a magnificent fish about 5 to 6 inches long with a dorsal fin that is about an inch tall and spreads across the fish from pointing towards his nose to almost touching his tail in the back.
