29 Gallon Platy Tank?

Well, I've worked on my parents and seems like im going to be setting up my 29 gallon. I was thinking that i want to try my hand at breeding and figured live-bearers would be a good place to start. Not sure on what kind of fish or anything yet, though im thinking platies. So suggestions/tips are welcomed and appreciated!

Thanks,
Neptune

What kind of water do you have Neptune? A 29 gallon is a good size for many different kinds of livebearers but fish like mollies require much higher pH and water hardness than something like guppies. If you intend to try to make any money on your breeding, try to breed the rarer fish that nobody else seems to have. That means it is a bit harder to get started, nobody else has them, but they will hold a decent wholesale price until the market gets flooded. I breed mostly goodeids because they are seldom seen outside the serious hobbyists and those people are willing to pay a fair price for them. I still can't break even at a club auction but at least I don't need to give away my fish.

I just brought it in from the attic now, im just gonna clean it out tonight probably while the family is watching the grey cup... :P So i don't have any water in it yet, thats y im just wondering. But yes, it would be cooler to try and find a rarer fish. I'll keep that in mind. :)
