How many of what type of Cichlid and other fish do you have in there? Hard to tell from the pic's but is it a 45 or 55g?

Nice pics, thanks for sharing! $100 is a great deal. Your pleco is looking huge, but that's a pleco for you, LOL.

All ive got in there is the convicts and that pleco. :P I got him from my friends ten gallon tank. I traded a small one i had for it. :). And he told us it was a 55 when we bought it, but ive wondered as well. I think ill take the dimensions and check it out this weekend. I get back to you then :).
And yes, it was a good deal :P. The last picture is of my only remaining convict cichlid fry.... I've had troubles on the breeding front:P.

Indeed really good deal for a tank, stand and all that!
If its 4ft long by 20"x13" its a 55g...Judging by the pictures, it could well be and since that's what the guy told you, I'm sure it is (but its good to know for certain, in case you gotta use medicine etc where you need to dose based of X gallon in your tank).

Alright thanks. I went down and measured it, it is indeed a fifty five. Just for future refernce, would any of u guys know approximatley how many convicts i could fit in there? I know i cant have very many males because they will fight, ecpecially in breeding time. But in total, about how many fishes? Thanks in advance :).

They only Cichlid's I ever had were Yellow Lab's and I had 8 in a 55g. I'd imagine you could have a few more girls in the troop then that, but as I said the Yellows are my only experiences so it may be more advisable to re-ask this question in the Cichlid forum part.
What exact species do you have there? Sorta looks like the Archocentrus nanoluteus to me, but I'm not 100% sure...but you'll know the answer I'm sure :-)

They're: Archocentrus nigrofasciatus :)

And how many do you have in there already?
Considering they'll be about 6" when adults...
