i have a 10 gallon set up with a newly bought dwarf female platy and a newly bought lyletail male guppy. The male guppy keeps harassing the female platy 0_o. he keeps tilting to the side near her as if to breed with her 0_0.
He is a male guppy. The fact that any attempts he makes will never result in fry won't slow him down a bit.
I didn't think they had the same pheromones to induce that behavior 0_0
I don't know anything about pheromones when it comes to fish but I have seen guppy males even try to breed with egg layers like zebra danios.
