need help with cheap diy lighting
 
i have a 55gallon tank setup i have plenty of live rock and live sand. all is setup good but my lighting is seriously lacking ive pretty much used all my money on everything else. i just need a good cheap lighting solution i only have 2 18 inch flourecents.

please help

Thats a shame. Lighting is one of the top requirements if you ask me!

What's your budget?

Hmm 55 huh?

you can get a dual strip deluxe hood from like pet club or petco for cheap
and then use like 2x40 watt t8's that should average just under 2watts per gallon.

I think that'll be just over 100 dollars.
