what about Hoplo
Everyone seems to have plecos but no one seems to care for some Hoplo catfish. Is there anything wrong with them? Seems like a good fish

OK, Sold. When the Turtle goes back to Connecticut, and the Asian tank gets moved from the 55 to the 75, and I get a 90 or 120 in the living room, 5 of these, 3 Bristlenoses, and a Banjo will be my cleanup crew fot the Angelfish Tank.

Hoplos are cool and tey aren't that hard to breed in tanks.

I breed them in outdoor ponds here and they grow quite fast as well.

I have one Hoplosternum thoracatum in my 44 gal tank and I LOVE it! It gets along very well w/ everything in my tank including discus, neon and glowlight tetras, Otocinclus, harlequin rasboras, and green and peppered cories. It has an exotic look, but it is very active. Some of the bigger funky cats just sit and/or hide all of the time
