Red Tail Tight Fitting Lid/Oxygen question
I'm planning on getting a red tail shark for my 30 gallon tank, but the cover to my tank has an opening near the filter. I know that red tails are notorious jumpers, so my question is this: would the red tail (plus what ever other fish I may get in the future) have enough oxygen in the water if i covered up that hole, leaving one small hole, a narrow opening in front of the filter (a whisper 30), and an air bubble chest half way down into the tank on the right side?
I think that I'd really like to get a red tail, but I don't want it to jump out and kill itself!
Thanks for your input
some one correct me if i am wrong but wouldn't the redtail out grow a 30 rather quickly??? i would be concerned with that first .. however if i am wrong the filter should bring in enough oxygen with the water.. no issues there...
