sajicas and gouramis
Does anyone know if i can put 4 small sajicas in with my gouramis.
That depends on the type of gouramis and size of the tank...
What do you have?
4 gold and 4 opaline gouramis. The tank is 95lr.
I was waitig for a reply for a while so i just put it to the test and they seem to get on really well.
They may be ok now, but in a tank that size it is unlikely they will stay that way. Sajicas average 5 inches full grown, and 4 of them by themselves should have at least 55 - 75 gallons. Be prepared to upgrade very soon, as they tend to grow quickly, and I would also keep plenty of floating plants for the gouramis to hide in when the sajicas begin to mature... especially until you can get them into a proper size tank. Both gouramis and cichlids will fight once they begin to grow and feel crowded due to lack of enough territory.
